Pride Gives Back & Community Grants

Heritage of Pride gives back to the community by offering a multitude of unique grant opportunities for various organizations
Pride Gives Back

Applications have now closed for the 2022 Pride Gives Back Grant.

NYC Pride's Pride Gives Back grant program is focused on financially assisting non-profit and community organizations within the local New York metro area looking to create programs/events in the 2022-2023 Pride season.

As in previous years, the majority of our NYC Pride-directed contributions will focus on programs and organizations that support LGBTQIA+ causes, and this year, we specifically seek to promote or enhance existing programs, innovate services to LGBTQIA+ populations, or make available resources which otherwise might not be accessible to vulnerable populations.

For 2022, NYC Pride is looking to provide funding for programs specifically assisting the following segments of our community: Transgender Rights, Social Justice Movements and Reform, Health and Wellness, Youth Development, Elder Care, Education, Media and Performing Arts, Organization Sustainability and Development, LGBTQIA+ Visibility, and Public Policy and Advocacy.

Since 1984, NYC Pride has given more than $25 Million in grants to individuals and non profits through our grant programs. Grant applications open every February and winners are announced in April. Grants range from $300-$15,000.

"Thanks to the NYC Pride Gives Back grant, our first ever LGBT cancer survey was sent throughout the nation!"

Community Grants

Every year, NYC Pride awards thousands of dollars in grant money to LGBTQIA-friendly and LGBTQIA-affirming organizations. The grants are working grants, which means that in order to receive the grant money, members or volunteers from your organization must perform specific functions, as a group, at our NYC Pride events. Grants are awarded in amounts from $750 to $2,500, depending on the commitment.
