Who We Are

Heritage of Pride, Inc. (NYC Pride) is the 501(c)3 non-profit that has planned and produced NYC's official LGBTQIA+ Pride events since 1984. We evolved from the Christopher Street Liberation Day Committee, the organizers of the very first NYC Pride March in 1970 commemorating the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

NYC Pride works toward a future without discrimination where all people have equal rights under the law. We do this by producing LGBTQIA+ events that inspire, educate, commemorate, and celebrate our diverse community.
