NYC Pride and MAC Cosmetics team up to celebrate spooky season with an exclusive matinee screening of the iconic “Hocus Pocus”
New York, NY, October 8, 2025 – NYC Pride | Heritage of Pride announces the return of its Family Movie Night, which provides LGBTQIA+ families a safe space to build community, enjoy family-friendly classics, and welcome the fall season.
For the first time, Family Movie Night will be a matinee! Co-presented with MAC Cosmetics, this year’s feature, Hocus Pocus, will screen in the garden space at the Moxy Williamsburg on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. ET.
“We’re thrilled to welcome LGBTQIA+ families and our community to come together and enjoy a Halloween classic for all ages,” said Kazz Alexander, NYC Pride Co-Chair. “Whether you’re an LGBTQIA+ parent or raising queer youth, these safe spaces that embrace all families, regardless of make-up, is essential to our work - and to our community.”
Hocus Pocus follows a villainous, hilarious trio of witches – played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy – who are inadvertently resurrected by a teenage boy in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the movie begins at 12:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first served. Admission is free with an RSVP, which can be done through Eventbrite.

After the movie, attendees are invited to head upstairs to Lillistar on the Moxy rooftop for Boogie Baby’s Family Disco, a fun, unique dance party for families. Adults can enjoy a full bar and food menu, while kids will love hands-on activities, arts and crafts, and bopping to their parents’ dance favorites.
