NYC Pride Awards $75,000 to 11 Nonprofits Serving the Local LGBTQIA+ Community

The $75,000 grant package will help 11 NYC-based nonprofits expand programs, services, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ populations.

New York, NY, March 25, 2026 – NYC Pride | Heritage of Pride awarded $75,000 to 11 nonprofits that provide programs and support services for NYC’s LGBTQIA+ community. Awarded through NYC Pride’s “Pride Gives Back” program, the grants will help create and expand programs, services, and advocacy efforts for the local LGBTQIA+ community, with an emphasis on trans, GNB/GNC, LatinX, BIPOC, low-income, and immigrant populations.

“The nonprofits that serve our community need our support now more than ever, especially when they’re unable to secure crucial funding from larger institutions, city or state agencies,” said NYC Pride Executive Director Im Lynde. “We are helping fill that gap, and we are proud to help strengthen the organizations working everyday to provide services, advocacy, and community-building programs to our most underserved LGBTQIA+ neighbors.”

NYC Pride’s 2026 “Pride Gives Back” grants include:

• $9,500 to Drag Artists for Expression NYC, a group of drag artists bringing storytelling and creative arts programs to children and teens in libraries, schools, and other community spaces across NYC.
• $9,500 to Colectivo Intercultural TRANSgrediendo, a trans-led advocate for Trans/GNB, Latinx, and sex worker populations through health and wellness, leadership development, education, and support services.
• $8,000 to Chosen Family Law Center, which provides pro-bono legal support services to low-income LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, and chosen families.
• $8,000 to I'm From Driftwood, a first-person storytelling project that focuses on amplifying the voices of LGBTQIA+ people to foster empathy and create social change.
• $7,500 to The Generations Project, which produces live storytelling events and programs to cultivate intergenerational community and preserve LGBTQIA+ history.
• $7,500 to Team New York Aquatics, which supports the social and physical wellbeing of NYC’s LGBTQIA+ community through aquatic practices and competitions.
• $5,000 to Footage Foundation, a provider of feminist interventions for women, LGBTQIA+, and marginalized communities affected by violence, displacement, and structural inequity.
• $5,000 to National Harm Reduction Coalition (NHRC), whose Lighthouse Learning Collective provides training and services for LGBTQIA+, two-spirit, and gender-expansive communities impacted by substance use.
• $5,000 to NYC Gaymers Inc., which works toward a safe, supportive, thriving gaming community that celebrates and fosters community among gamers across identities.
• $5,000 to OurTransLife.org, offering workshops, education, and support services for transgender and GNB/GNC communities in the greater Bridgeport, CT region. 
• $5,000 to Teaching While Queer, working to ensure that LGBTQIA+ educators and their students can work and learn in environments rooted in safety and belonging.

Since 1984, NYC Pride has awarded more than $25 million to strengthen services, advocacy, and community-building programs for LGBTQIA+ populations through “Pride Gives Back”. NYC Pride has also provided funding to local businesses and vendors helping produce our events through our Working Grants program.
