Moderator led panel conversations, Q & A Sessions, Entrepreneurial workshops, and Pride Party
Masculine Identified Lesbians of Color Collective (MILCC), and HarlemYES, Inc. is pleased to present our first annual, “Masculine Identified Lesbians of Color Living in the 21st Century Summit”. This year's event will be a three (3) day summit, presented virtually on June 4th, 5th, and 6th during New York City Pride Month 2021. We will host intergenerational conversations between lesbians of color and summit attendees. Panelists and moderators are persons active in the community in their prospective roles. The summit's GOAL is to create a visible platform for a community of lesbians who are marginalized and often living in the shadows of other LGBTQ+ communities. Masculine Identified Lesbians & Masculine of Center Lesbians of color are an intricate part of and contributing members in all aspects of society...yet we are still mostly invisible in the spectrum of the LGBTQ community. The summit is presented in part to create a movement where we will no longer be the invisible “L”. The summit will give strength to the belief that by coming out of the closet, to continually live in our truth with no fear, never being ashamed of who we are, and living with PRIDE in our own masculine self, a MIL/MOC Lesbian of color will create and be a positive role model to those still hiding in the closet…giving them the courage to come out of the darkness into the light.
