Please join us for the official NYC LGBT Pride Rally! The Rally will feature well-known performers and motivating speakers from the LGBT community to kick-off this year's Pride Week events.
The first NYC LGBT Pride Rally occurred one month after the Stonewall Riots in June 1969 when 500 people gathered for a "Gay Power" demonstration in Washington Square Park. It was followed by a candlelight vigil in Sheridan Square. From 1997 to 2009, the Rally was held in Bryant Park.
This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are necessary.
The entire Rally will be ASL interpreted for individuals who are deaf/hard-of-hearing.
The Rally Committee is taking applications for talent to perform at the 2012 Rally. If you are interested in being a part of this event please contact rally@nycpride.org
